About

Sophie is a Brooklyn-based lighting designer for theater, dance, and anything live. She loves everything from new work to the classics and enjoys being in rooms with creative minds.

She completed the Berkeley Repertory Theatre Lighting and Electrics Fellowship for the 2023-24 season, where she was the assistant/associate designer for the seven mainstage shows of that season.

​

Sophie is a proud graduate of UC Santa Barbara.​ In her time at UCSB, Sophie earned the Grasshopper Award for Valuable Contributions for the 2019-20 season, the Jay Bryant Scott Scholarship (2021), and Dorothy and Sherrill C. Corwin Award for Excellence in Design (2022 and 2023).
